Clickbank Questions – Is Movies@helpsupport.com a spammer? I been tryin’ to cancel a membership & they keep giving me wrong answers.?
Since November I have been emailing back and forth through Movies@helpsupport.com. I downloaded & registered for membership a year ago in Feb. a program to download movies. I no longer want to be a member & want to cancel before they rebill this Feb. I’ve tried emailing them because they do not have a link in order to cancel the membership & do not even have a phone line (yet–they say). They keep emailing back bogus answers that have nothing to do with canceling or anything. My friend says to block ClickBank because that’s what was used for the payment last time but it’s not their fault & they are used for a lot of other things online that I don’t want to have blocked incase I purchase something else. Please help! What do I do?! And how do I keep my money safe from being charged again?! Someone help me quick!!!
Best Answer: Helpsupport.com represents themselves as sort of a question and answer help site. They are not a movie download service and are not affiliated with any kind of movie download service.
It sounds like you are trying to cancel a service by contacting someone you didn’t even get the service from, that’s obviously not going to work. If you want to cancel your download service you will have to do it through the company from which the service was actually purchased.
If a credit card was used last time I would suggest calling the issuing bank, their number should be on the card. Briefly explain the issue to them and ask that they look at your statement from Feb of last year, find the charge for the service then give you the contact info of the company which billed you.
- E-mail them stating that you want to cancel your account and not to charge you for a renewal. Then, find out a mailing address and mail them a certified letter stating the same. Also, if you can find a phone number, call them direct and tell them to cancel your account.
Then, if they still charge you, you can sue them, since you did everything you can to cancel the account.
Did you get that e-mail from their site? Do a search for who you are dealing with, and go to their website. If you didn’t solicit the movies@helpsupport.com, then that is probably spam, but if you did do business with them, then you need to do whatever to get them to cancel your account.
